The conditions of use apply to all domains hosted on our servers. Please inform any domains you are hosting on your site of these conditions.

Domain Registration: All domain names remain the property of OceanHosting until paid for in full.

UNACCEPTABLE ACTIVITIES:
Spamming, spoofing, passive spamming, trolling, mailbombing. Distribution of mass emailing programs.  Mailing lists may not be used to distribute  unsolicited email.

ABUSE OF OTHER'S LEGAL RIGHTS:
The following are prohibited activities: Posting of private information about a person without consent. Infringing intellectual property rights.  Defaming a person or business. Distributing programs which damage third party computers.

ABUSE OF THE LAW:
Oceanhosting services may not be used for any unlawful activity. Linking to  sites involved in illegal activity is prohibited.

Oceanhosting reserves the right to check all data in our servers.

PORNOGRAPHY:
Pornography and sex-related merchandising, or links to such material, is prohibited on our servers. Oceanhosting does not register domain names for sex related domains.

ABUSE OF OCEANHOSTING SERVER RESOURCES:
Running programs in the background on Oceanhosting servers without permission is not allowed. Sites used for running chat rooms are not allowed on our servers.
Using more than 20% of our system resources or exceeding 10 gigabytes of bandwidth is unacceptable.

HACKING/CRACKING:
Oceanhosting reserves the right to report hacking and cracking to the relevant authorities.

OTHER BEHAVIOR:
The following non exhaustive list details unacceptable  practices:  Accessing data not intended for user. Probing the security of any network. Spawning dozens of processes. Port scans, ping floods, packet  spoofing. Forging router information. Denial of Service attacks, sniffers, flooding, spoofing, ping bombing, smurfs, winnuke, land, teardrop. Promulgation of viruses. Running IRC bots such as eggdrop or BitchX.

CLIENT RESPONSIBILITY:
The client is responsible for all activity originating from their web site unless proven to be a victim of outside hacking or address forgery. The client is responsible for securing their username/password. The client is  responsible for having a rudimentary knowledge of the procedures involved in running a web site.

BACKUPS:
Backups are made nightly. No guarantees are made regarding the integrity of these backups. Backups are made for server restoration purposes only.  Clients must make their own local backups of their web site  content. Should Oceanhosting lose your data we will try to recover it at no  charge. There is a 50 pounds fee for recovering data lost due to client  error.

IP NUMBERS:
Oceanhosting maintains control and ownership of all I.P numbers.

MONEY BACK GUARANTEE:
If you become unhappy with our service within 30 days of initiating it, we will refund your hosting payment and terminate your account at no cost to  you.  Oceanhosting does not refund fees which you have paid to InterNIC.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY:
Oceanhosting shall not be responsible for any form of damages, whatsoever,  due to our servers being offline or unavailable. 
Oceanhosting shall not be  responsible for any damages resulting from terminating service.  Oceanhosting shall be the sole arbiter of what is a contravention of our conditions of  use.
Oceanhosting reserves the right to terminate an account at any time and  delete all files relative thereto.
Oceanhosting reserves the right to  withhold any pre-paid funds if a site is removed for contravening
the  conditions of use.
Oceanhosting reserves the right to change these conditions without prior notice.
Non-enforcement of any conditions does not constitute consent to the contravening of them.
